Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup almond milk warm
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Filling:
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Glaze Optional:
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Activate the yeast by mixing warm almond milk and honey. Let sit until frothy.
  • Combine dough ingredients, knead, and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Roll out dough, spread filling, roll tightly, and cut into 8 pieces.
  • Arrange in a baking dish, let rise again, and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
  • Prepare the glaze and drizzle over warm rolls. Serve immediately.
